Long time readers recall that when the bike was crated, a strap was inadvertently placed across the clutch safety switch cable, which when tightened, pulled the cable from the switch. The bike could only be started when in neutral, which played into the clutch cable and shift lever problems.
Today, I finally got the part I needed and installed it. It took many hours as the connector for the switch was under the battery tray and behind the oil reservoir. The radiator overflow tank also had to be loosened and moved to allow the cable to be routed. Here are some shots of the disassembled bike.
The bike is all back together, and running. It took until 7:30 pm to finish it. It's not something I want to do every day. However, I hope the bike problems are over, as I need to concentrate on other things.
